Wild Light : The awakening

Her life is a mystery, even to herself.

But she doesn’t dare tell that to the strangers who find her alone and unconscious in the forest — she knows they’re keeping secrets from her. They might not have even admitted enemies are coming who will kill everyone they find, if the man with cinnamon eyes hadn’t let it slip. With no memories and no family to turn to, how will she survive on this treacherous journey with her newfound companions?

Soon it’s not just her amnesia she needs to hide. She discovers she has magical abilities. In order to find out why, and her place in this 18th century world, she must unravel the mysteries surrounding her and her companions, while facing deadly enemies and mythical creatures at every turn.

With each twist in the plot, the suspense only grows stronger as this unlikely over 40 heroine and her found family fight for their survival and uncover the truth about their connections to each other. Packed with emotion, secrets, and supernatural beings, this tightly-woven tale keeps delivering surprises until the very end.

Described by readers as engaging, immersive, captivating, and enthralling, this book is a must-read for fans of magical realism, cozy sci fi fantasy, and suspenseful mystery.

About K.B. Kveld

K.B. Kveld was writing down stories even before she became a newspaper reporter. And while she wrote about real life for newspapers and magazines, she continued to create other stories about different worlds with fictional characters. And put them into short stories, song lyrics (which earned her an award), stage plays (she has a theater background, too), poetry, and television commercials (sadly, she didn’t get to be in them, but she got to be on set).

She hadn’t really intended to become a novelist too. But when the science fiction and mystery stories she was writing got to be novel length, she realized she was already there.

When she’s not writing, or doing other work, she might be playing or writing music (with the modern versions of the instruments in her stories).
